Foam filters for SAND die-casting

For perfect filtering in Sand Casting, FONDERMAT INDUSTRY offers the following solutions:

Open pore, non-ceramic FOAM FILTERS are available in various dimensions.

When re-melting return material, thanks to the low density of the filter, no particles remain in the bath.

Phosphate-free, the filters offer maximum safety as they eliminate the risk of absorption of phosphorus in the re-molten material.

Amongst the characteristics of foam filters for aluminium alloys:

• absence of abrasives and ceramic components
• can be removed from the melt without risking the damage of the tools
• capacity to remove all the inclusions present in the metal, including very small diameter particles

Finally, thanks to their special structure, which guarantees very slow flow, the filters avoid foam and oxidant formation during mould filling.
